When should I arrive for my appointment?
Arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. That gives you time to check in, complete any remaining paperwork, and settle in before your massage begins.
What should I do if the building doors are locked?
If the building doors are locked at your appointment time, use the call box at the entrance — and you'll receive a text with access instructions beforehand. The doors at 4140 Lemmon Avenue lock before 8 AM, after 6 PM, and all day Sunday and Monday.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive late, your session still ends at its originally scheduled time. This keeps the schedule on time for clients booked after you.
How do I book an appointment?
Book online through the booking link on this site, or call (972) 802-8598 to schedule by phone with Jeff.
What information do I need to provide when booking?
Booking requires your full name, email address, phone number, and a valid credit or debit card to secure the appointment.
When will my card be charged?
Phone bookings are charged after your session; online bookings are prepaid at the time of booking. No-shows without advance notice are charged the full session fee.
No-Show Policy
If you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment and do not provide advance notice, the full cost of the scheduled session will be charged in accordance with our cancellation policy. If you have any massage therapy questions, feel free to reach out for clarification.
What is your cancellation policy and appointment logistics?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made inside the 24-hour window are charged the full session fee, because that time was reserved for you and can't be refilled.
Are there any exceptions to the 24-hour cancellation policy?
An exception may be considered if you call the office within one hour of receiving your reminder email to cancel or reschedule.
Do you offer a discount for new clients?
First-time clients receive 25% off their initial massage session.
How do your memberships work?
Memberships give you a discounted massage rate with automatic monthly billing, designed for clients getting massage regularly rather than occasionally.
What happens to unused membership credits?
Unused membership credits roll over for up to three months before they expire.
Can I change my monthly billing date?
Yes — call (972) 802-8598 or email jeff@therapybyclinton.com to change your automatic billing date.
When do I complete my Client Intake Form?
Complete your Client Intake Form before your appointment. It arrives by email once your appointment is confirmed.
What should I expect during my first massage?
Your first visit starts with a brief consultation covering your health history, areas of pain or tension, wellness goals, and any medical conditions that affect treatment. The massage follows.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear whatever is comfortable — you'll undress only to your own comfort level for the massage itself.
Do I have to undress completely?
No. Undress only to the level that feels comfortable to you.
Will I be covered during my massage?
Yes. Professional draping is used throughout the entire massage to protect your privacy.
How do I know which massage is right for me?
Clinton recommends a technique after a short consultation covering your health history, goals, and areas of concern — you don't need to know which massage you want before booking.
What types of massage therapy do you offer?
Therapy by Clinton offers deep tissue, Swedish, sports, prenatal, myofascial release, reflexology, hot stone, aromatherapy, gua sha, and cupping therapy, plus corporate chair massage for Dallas-area offices.
Can you focus on one specific area?
Yes — additional time can be spent on a specific area of pain, stiffness, or tension. Tell Clinton at the start of the session.
How much pressure do you use?
Pressure is adjusted to your preference and can be changed during the session — light, moderate, firm, or deep tissue.
Should I talk during my massage?
Either is fine. Some clients talk throughout, others prefer silence.
Is it okay if I fall asleep?
Yes, and it's common. Falling asleep means your body has reached a deep state of relaxation.
How often should I schedule a massage?
Weekly or bi-weekly for chronic pain, monthly for general wellness maintenance. Clinton will suggest a schedule based on what you're working on.
Can massage therapy help relieve pain?
Massage therapy may help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, increase flexibility, and relieve many common sources of discomfort.
Can massage therapy reduce stress?
Yes. Massage encourages relaxation and may help reduce both physical and emotional stress.
Will I be sore after my massage?
Mild soreness after deeper therapeutic work is normal and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours.
Should I drink water after my massage?
Yes — drinking water afterward supports your body's natural recovery process.
Can I exercise after my massage?
Light activity is fine after a massage. After deep therapeutic work, give your body time to recover before intense exercise.
What if I have a medical condition?
Tell Clinton about any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, medications, or pregnancy before your appointment so the session can be adapted safely.
Can I receive a massage if I'm sick?
Please reschedule if you have a fever, a contagious illness, vomiting, flu-like symptoms, or any other significant illness.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Clinton Blakley is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT - MT119565) practicing in Oak Lawn, Dallas.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes. Your health history, personal information, and treatment records are kept strictly confidential.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made inside the 24-hour window are charged the full session fee, because that time was reserved for you and can't be refilled.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Therapy by Clinton accepts all major credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards, and the payment methods available through online booking.
Do you accept insurance?
Therapy by Clinton does not bill insurance directly, but will provide an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurer or use for HSA/FSA reimbursement.
Are tips expected?
Tips are always appreciated but are never expected.
